Vincent is helpful, knowledgeable and patient. He spent a good amount of time understanding what was important to me and was able to guide me to the best available out there!
For such a big decision, there is surprisingly little information out there on exactly what you need to look out for when diamond hunting. As a Londoner, I went down the usual route of heading towards Hatton Garden to buy a diamond which I subsequently returned after realising what a mistake I had made by buying after looking only at a selection of stones that a few vendors had.
I sought help from Vincent and after an in-depth diamond analysis through various emails and Skype, I finally imported a stone from the US with confidence. I still cannot believe the difference in the diamond I bought which was better priced than the original.
Vincent has great connections and is a true enthusiast. Look no further!
I contacted Vincent about a stone I was considering. Like most people, I wanted an expert's opinion whether or not it was a good diamond to buy or not.
Vincent responded very quickly, and subsequent communication was prompt. The manner in which we spoke made me feel like we were just a couple of friends talking about a diamond, except he knew a lot more than me. We all have a friend who is "the guy" for a particular industry; Vincent is that diamond "guy".
He questioned what my concerns were, gave excellent explanations for what actually mattered, and then provided his recommendations. He took some complex or technical information and allowed me to make sense of it.
I would definitely recommend anyone on the fence to contact Vincent. After your initial communication, you will see for yourself why so many people had positive experiences.
When I started looking for a diamond, I had no idea what to look for. After few google searches I came across Vincent's site and I immediately realized he is one of the most knowledgeable diamond expert around. Working with Vincent has been great. He is always available to answer questions, he is patient and thoroughly explains everything you need to know about diamonds.
Personally, I was looking at something specific and unique. The search has been extensive and challenging but Vincent has never never rushed me. Vincent has been more than a consultant, he has been a true and honest partner to me.
The diamond that Vincent helped find is beautiful!
The value that Vincent delivers highly exceeds the minimal fee required to access his immense knowledge, connections and great advices. I cannot recommend Vincent's services enough.
Like many, I knew very little about diamonds before beginning my search for an engagement ring. I read widely and found Vincent's website to be one of the most helpful. I emailed Vincent to ask for his opinion on a diamond I had in mind and the time and detail he put into his initial response blew me away and was simply an indicator of the amazing things to come!
I was working on a very tight schedule and Vincent recommended we schedule a Skype call. At this stage, we had already exchanged numerous emails and I was happy to pay $100 for just the emails - that's how amazingly detailed, thorough, and informative his responses were! He left no base uncovered, explaining each step of the decision-making process with great clarity.
Our first Skype call was coincidently, and unknowingly, scheduled for Valentine's Day! Vincent still took the time out of his evening to touch base with me and patiently discuss my options. Within the next few days, Vincent blew me away. His attention to detail, thoroughness, and patience in helping me make the best decision possible was unbelievable. In hindsight, I would have happily paid much more than $100!
The diamond that Vincent helped me to identify is out-of-this-world, mind-blowingly, beautiful! There is absolutely no way I would have found a diamond this amazing without Vincent. I cannot recommend Vincent's services highly enough. Do yourself a favor and spend the $100, it's something you will most definitely not regret!
Thank you, thank you, thank you Vincent! I knew absolutely nothing about diamonds until my friend recommended that I read your expert tutorials and hire you. I'm SO glad I did that -- you gave me comfort in the diamond I selected, and made me and my (now) fiancee very, very happy! If you're a smart diamond customer, be sure to learn from Vincent! I'm recommending him to everyone I know.
I started out with zero knowledge. In a time crunch, I rushed out to buy her an engagement ring from Costco. This was after a visit to BrilliantEarth. Beyond the 4 C's and knowing to have a certificate included with the purchase, I felt assured that if anything let me or her to change our minds, I could at least rely on Costco's return policy.
Sorry, Costco, but you're getting a $7,000 return from me soon.
After she said yes, being a value shopper (very different from a "bargain hunter"), I started diving into whether the Costco purchase was sensible after the fact. Sentimentalism be damned, I didn't care for her to be stuck with a sub-par diamond. A quick Google search yielded the answer: probably not. This is when I started to become aware of sites like Brian Gavin, James Allen, Hearts on Fire, Enchanted Diamonds, and even Blue Nile.
And this is when I started learning about previously unheard of terms beyond the 4C's: table, girdle thickness, crown / pavilion angle, the length of this vs. that, etc.
I tried quickly filtering out some choice diamonds on a couple of the above websites, but then I started getting that sick feeling of digging one of my several notoriously bottomless, rabbit holes of potential analysis paralysis, while juggling my overloaded work schedule being an Internet marketer, along with life in general.
Among other more scrutinizing diamond buying sites, PD & Vincent Chan popped up on my radar. There were details in his content that led me to believe that Vincent was very analytical and discriminating, many of it which translated into a numerical analytical description of ideal qualities of a diamond.
I decided to take the dive and fork $100 over to Vincent.
Mr. Chan's $100 service blew my mind. He asks for requirements & preferences, and within a matter of days, produced a spreadsheet with 15 excellent choices. Out of those, 5 were outstanding-- the cream of the crop. He also ranked & ordered the choices based on a few more calculations & metrics which I haven't seen mentioned anywhere else, that when asked, he explained them well. Perhaps they're available on his site, but I had no time to exhaustively comb pd.com.
Vincent said he has the inside scoop with several of these companies. WhiteFlash corroborated it when I called them for a shipping-related question, when they said they knew Vincent on a first-name basis.
Ever since buying the Costco diamond, I wondered why it didn't sparkle and flash at me in a blinding way. When comparing the Costco and the WF diamond side-by-side, the WF diamond has emitted sparkles bright enough to cause me to wince, while Costco's underwhelms.
Save yourself the time & headache and choose Vincent's premium consultation. It's a no-brainer and a fraction of the cost compared to the total investment in the diamond.
I was lucky enough to find Vincent Chan’s site “Prosumer Diamond" just recently. I was in fact looking all over the web to find this very man and learn
from him the knowledge necessary to make the RIGHT decision on the purchase of a diamond. Next to a car and house, a diamond is one of the biggest
purchases we will make in our lives and getting it right with no regrets was my priority.
What I loved about working with Vincent was learning about the science of a diamond..the angles, the proportions, the girdle thickness, the inclusions, and so
much more and of course the big one, finding that perfect diamond with the SPARKLE…and putting it all together with those percentages.
This is someone that will have your best interests at heart no matter what your budget or what size diamond you are looking for….He’s your man…
Thank you Vincent for helping me find my special diamond. It means SO much to me…
If you’re like me you’ve already read everything there is from the basic 4Cs, to the less commercial aspects of ideal cut proportions. I knew early on that I wasn’t going to allow myself to be bumped in price by buying from a brand store, and so I set my mind on finding the absolute best cut diamond I could get within my budget. I used James Allen to search for diamonds and had a good browse over a few weeks. I stumbled across Vincent’s site after maybe 3 months of having armed myself with knowledge and reading. I read his diamond buying guide and figured I had nothing to lose by reaching out to him with my circumstances, and discussing the diamonds I had shortlisted. What I didn’t anticipate was what happened next…true to form Vincent responded (as he had stated) within a matter of hours! Very friendly and at no point making me feel pressured into a decision to buy or choose anything out of my own volition. I exchanged several emails exploring what I was really seeking out and boy was I glad I’d sent that first message! Within 24 hours we’d identified the strengths and weaknesses of my original choice (0.84 IF H x3 Ex - which had ideal angles except for the depth leading to an overall less optimal cut) and then set out on a task to choose better alternatives. With this newly found knowledge, I looked online again and found two diamonds cut to as-close-to-perfect proportions as I could. It was at that point that Vincent flagged up the perfect one amongst them, which happened to be my favourite too…I’m now waiting for delivery and am so much better off knowing I’ve sought out the best option available to me! Definitely definitely definitely recommend reaching out no matter how far or early into your search you are. I honestly can’t thank him enough - his knowledge is so profound that you can really learn more than just the certificate details when analysing choices with him. The world could do with more people like him!!
I've read most of Vincent's articles in my search for a diamond recently and I had consulted Vincent in a last minute email to have his expert advice on two diamonds I was struggling with. He responded in a timely fashion (much quicker than I had anticipated) and we exchanged a few emails and he actually took the time to find a diamond that was even more towards the ideal-cut/symmetry that he talks about in his articles.
He knows his stuff and is willing to invest his own time - Thanks Vincent!
Although I’m not using the full consultation services, Vincent was kind enough to exchange a few emails with me regarding a diamond purchase I made. The diamond is still at the vendor, so was looking for a last minute confirmation that I picked the right stone before it was too late. Vincent’s responses were quick, and he was very helpful and willing to engage in discussion. He raised one concern with the color of the stone perhaps being on the low end of the color grading (honesty always appreciated!) but otherwise was able to give me some peace of mind that this was a super-ideal cut stone like I was trying for. I’m happy with the stone, and don’t think I couldn’t have done much better, but if I could go back in time 10 days I would have used Vincent’s consultation service and saved myself hours and hours (and hours) of time! Thanks Vincent!!!
